Live quiz

A two-screen quiz for a room. The projector shows each question, a countdown, and a count of answers so far. Everyone answers on their phone, and nobody sees anyone else's pick until you reveal. The reveal shows the right answer, how the room split and why, and each phone keeps a running score. Up to 100 questions with two to four options each, plus rounds, points and timers.

Install

Build with the "Live quiz" template from my Super Artifacts library.

If you have no tool named super_whoami and no Super Artifacts agent key, stop here:

After installing, build one small explainer artifact from this template's own sample so I can see what it produces. Title it "Live quiz — example". Then ask whether to build the real thing.

The questions that fit this template: (1) who is playing and where (a class of thirteen-year-olds, a pub back room, a team offsite), and how long the quiz should last; (2) the topic, or the questions I already have, pasted as it is; (3) whether any question is worth double or needs a shorter timer. Then build a first quiz of eight to twelve questions in two or three rounds, each with one answer that is unarguably right and wrong options that are plausible rather than silly, and a one-sentence explanation for every question someone might dispute. Show it to me before publishing. Tell me the projector screen is the page I open myself while signed in, and everyone else who opens the link gets the phone. Remind me the answer key travels inside the page, so this is for fun and practice rather than a graded test.

What your agent fills in

The whole quiz: a title, an optional host line and intro, the questions in the order they are played, default points and timer, and the closing line. Each question has a prompt of at most 200 characters, two to four options (lettered a to d in order), the letter of the one right answer, and optionally a round name, points, seconds and an explanation shown at the reveal. A question's number is its position, and answers are stored against it, so never reorder or remove questions once people have played.
